Our Prayer Shawl Ministry
The United Methodist Church of Enfield Prayer Shawl Ministry grew from the Wednesday morning Women’s Bible Study. It is a way our group can reach out into our community with the Good News of our loving and caring God. As we study God’s word, we knit or crochet shawls made with love and prayer.
Our shawls are blessed by our Pastor during our Sunday worship service. Our prayer shawls are given to console those who are grieving, comfort those who are ill, bring hope to those who are in despair. Our shawls are given to celebrate friendships, love, achievements, weddings, graduations and new births.
Prayer shawls are a reminder of God’s presence, love, hope, comfort, healing and blessings, a reminder that we are all God’s beloved children and are always wrapped in his love.
For more information about our ministry or to inquire about a prayer shawl, contact Jane through the United Methodist Church Office at 41 Brainard Road, Enfield, Ct. Phone: 860-745-6241.
With each shawl given, we include a tag like this one.
